Watering Restrictions Go Into Effect
Pinellas County Implements Water Restrictions Beginning April 3rd
In response to severe drought conditions, Pinellas County is implementing very stringent water restrictions effective April 3, 2026. Please check out the following information at the Pinellas County website:
https://pinellas.gov/watering-schedule-and-rules/
Here are some important details from the county’s website:
Customers north of SR580 (including The Homes at Coventry Village)
- Addresses ending in even numbers (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) watering is permitted on Saturdays
- Addresses ending in odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) watering is permitted on Wednesdays
- Mixed or No Address (such as common areas, entry areas/office complexes, shopping centers and other “no address” locations)
watering is permitted on Wednesdays
- Watering hours are reduced to 12:01 a.m. to 4 a.m. or from 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.
- Properties less than one acre in size may only use one of these windows.
- Car washing is allowed at home using hoses equipped with self-canceling or auto shutoff nozzles, sponges and buckets and is only permitted on your lawn watering day.
Violations:
To protect the remaining water supply, Pinellas County Utilities staff are authorized to issue fines of $193 for violations of the watering restrictions. While staff typically issue warnings for these violations, warnings will not be allowed after April 17, 2026, due to the extreme drought conditions.
Please visit the website for more information including rules for watering in new sod/landscaping, water features you may have at home, etc.
Violation Letters from the HOA:
Pinellas County has stated that pressure washing will not be permitted starting April 3rd. We noted during our inspection on March 26th that several homeowners need to power wash driveways, sidewalks, entryways, screens, fences, etc. If you received a letter for one of these violations, or any other violation whose remedy is impacted by the water restrictions (like resodding your lawn), you should plan to correct the violation once the restrictions have been lifted or altered. HOAs are not permitted to enforce these and other similar rules during the restriction period. Enforcement of the impacted rules will resume as soon as the restrictions are lifted.
If you have any specific questions or concerns please email the property manager at leigh@pgcf.com.
